I posted a thread proposing we start a Q&A forum topic so that members can help each other with software issues and techniques. It could also be used for other art-related assistance as well. for it to work, volunteers would need to post their particular skills, help in building a FAQ, and commit to checking threads on a regular basis (allowing for their personal commitments of course.)
Craeonics had the excellent idea of starting a test thread to see what response it gets before asking Chaz to create a forum topic. So far, the following members have expressed interest in the idea:
Would these members, if they are willing to volunteer, please post their skill-sets? If I can get ten people on the list, I'll then start a new thread for people to post their questions, and we'll see how it goes.
Please also post here if you just have remarks or comments about this.
Thanks!

1. coyotelogic
2. liquidd
3. eiyela
4. doreen
5. stev
6. originalmoron

mastercylinder has not yet posted his skillset (bummer)
I listed jh2112 before, but actually he only expressed interest in the idea. However...
So, it looks like we might need three more volunteers instead of two.
Hey, Chaz always has free time, right?

:shrugs:, no idea... I would suggest that the people who don't use the forums get encourgement, or we will be doing this for ourselves only, which seems pointless.

Do you really think we need ten people? It's not that big a community after all...
Hmm, good question. Let me think about it.

Hey, where am I on the list?
I agree with eiyela.
Ten is just a nice round number, not a necessity.
Any and All...

oh. my bad, sorry!
BTW, I just posted the list of volunteers in Chaz's "Feature" thread, and asked that a "Member Q&A" forum category be created.

Great. I'll collect the skillsets and save them on my comp. for now, just so they don't disappear mysteriously. Hope that's ok with everyone.

Oh, and [dbc], would you be a real sweetheart and post your skillset as well? "anything I can do to help" is not that accurate although it is generous...
