W.I.P. Set / Works In Progress

I thought it would be neat if we had a works in progress section whereby we could post our works as we are create them. It would give us a small peek into each others creative processes and techniques. I, personally, work in both traditional and non- traditional ways so while most of my pieces end up looking cg, they may not always start out that way.
This piece is just a character I'm working on which was inspired by one of Brom's art pieces. I'm not sure if I will include it as a Sorche character or not, but anyway it was quickly sketched with my mouse.

Added first layer of color. Still alot to do on this.
More blending and began blocking in colors and more shaping. Haven't decided on what to do with the hands yet (which is why they aren't developed as of now), but I may have her holding a staff or spear with flowing ribbons or something.

off course i'm not the great artist liquid is, but he had some remarks on the proportions and colour of angelica, so i stretched her body a bit and gave her the colour of the mountains, maybe she now looks a bit better. I don't know how to put images in a forum thread so i left them both in my gallery [ link ]

stev - Sweet one, stev! I don't think I've ever seen you do anything along this sort of line. Can't wait to see the way it develops and turns out. Thanks for sharing.
praedicante - I'm not a great artist until my name is a household word worldwide and I'm rich. I've still got a lonnnnnnng way to go before I can claim praise such as you've given. But thank you for the kind words. Like you I'm still just a student of art, still learning. By the way, to post an image you need to click on the at the bottom (where the smilies/emoticons are), then add the url where your image is stored in between the img tags:

I tried to post a picture, but I guess I can't link it to this website, I'll work on it. In the meantime, I'll take a look, it's nice to see the works in progress.
